The site, formerly home to the historic York Hotel, was cleared following the granting of planning approval in 2023 marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Portstewart’s changing landscape.

This £4 million private sector investment delivered not only much-needed housing but also a significant economic boost to the local area. During the construction phase, the project support between 30 and 40 jobs, contributing positively to the regional economy.

From a design perspective, the development has been carefully considered to complement its surroundings. The building rises four storeys when viewed from Portmore Road and Station Road, while presenting a reduced scale of approximately two-and-a-half storeys from York Avenue, ensuring a balanced visual impact across different vantage points.

Each apartment benefits from private outdoor space in the form of balconies or terraces, alongside a shared rooftop terrace designed to maximise the site’s impressive coastal views.
