As ours is a growing company, the team at Advantage spends a lot of time planning for the future: from recruitment to training to marketing and creating extra office space, not to mention the most important bit: planning for our clients’ upcoming projects. In short, the weeks tend to fly by! So we decided to take a hard earned coffee break and look back on a few of our highlights from the past six months. Thanks to all the brilliant companies and individuals who’ve been a part of them!
Did you spot yourself in the pictures from our charity golf day to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital?
In October, we shared a few of our favourite pictures from our charity golf day to raise funds for Alder Hey in this image gallery. Our golf day took place at the grounds of the Marriott Hotel in Worsley and was well attended by a host of well-respected property professionals. David Sumner, Director of Sales at Advantage, said:
“Being a born and bred Liverpudlian, I’ve been able to see and understand in a very immediate way the impact that Alder Hey has had on our region. The work they do and the support they offer to families is truly astounding, and so we’re incredibly humbled to have the opportunity to raise money for their Children’s Charity.”
We scooped the title of ‘Insurance Company of the Year’ at the prestigious City of Manchester Business Awards
Back in November, we were delighted to win the Insurance Company of the Year award at the Manchester Business Awards. We were named as the winner in our category during an awards ceremony at the Midland Hotel, which was attended by more than 300 North West business leaders.
James Topping, Advantage’s Regional Manager, took to the stage to accept the award on behalf of the Advantage team, saying: “We are delighted to receive this award which caps an exciting year of growth for the company, it’s been a real team effort and we are looking to build on this success in 2019”.
We joined other local businesses in getting behind the Whitechapel Centre, making a donation and collecting essential items for homeless people in the region
In December, the team collected the essential items that are most useful to people in the local community who don’t have a roof over their head. We also had a collection point at our Warrington office to encourage our clients to make a donation, and also made a financial donation to the charity. We were proud to work with other businesses like Signworks to join together and do our bit to make a difference to tackle such an important issue and we’re continuing to support the Whitechapel Centre this year.

If you’re following us on social media, you will have noticed that our Advantage signs are cropping up all over the place! We’re proud to be working alongside so many fantastic developers offering support at every stage of the process as they create the homes of the future.
This ‘new recruit’ became an overnight internet sensation!
While the Directors were out of the office, this charming new recruit took some time out to pose for a few pictures, which proved very popular on social media. Can we make every day bring your pet to work day..?
Celebrating International Women’s Day
Not that we need an excuse to celebrate the brilliant women at Advantage, but we couldn’t resist sharing a few pictures of the amazing team to mark International Women’s Day on 8th March. We also shared a few thoughts on how well women are represented in property and construction in 2019 in a blog post.

Although we said this blog would be all about looking back on an exciting six months for the company, we couldn’t resist taking a quick look into the future to ask you to look out for us if you’re planning a visit to this year’s JTrade Expo. We’ll be on Stand C4, so please do come and say hi.
