Structural/latent defects warranty provider, Advantage, has secured a deal to provide insurance at YPG Developments latest scheme in Kings Dock Mill in Liverpool.

The £30 million development will see over 200 luxury 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments and townhouses created in the Baltic area, sitting adjacent to the city’s historic waterfront.

Work at the site is set to begin imminently follow a successful planning application in November last year. Existing industrial buildings on the land, which is located on the corner of Tabley Street, will be demolished following which construction of the 11- and 12-storey buildings will begin.

Ming Yeung Managing Director at YPG Developments commented: “This is the second scheme that we have worked with Advantage on. We’ve found their service and products to be of a quality standard. Not only do we benefit from the guarantee of the building warranty but we have open ended access to their professional team who are able to support us with specific issues on site and challenges as the project gathers pace.”

David Sumner, Sales Director of Advantage added: “We’re incredibly pleased that YPG has once again opted for the Advantage structural/latent defect warranty. They are a fantastic developer, and they are making a positive impact on the landscape of several of our Northern cities.

“We will work with them from the early phases of the contract including pre planning, making regular visits to site at key sages. We look forward to supporting YPG Developments throughout.”
