Last month, we celebrated our annual charity golf day at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, in Knutsford. Despite some typical British weather, there was an impressive turn out of 72 people and the day consisted of a breakfast meet, followed by a shotgun start at 10am. The weather worsened as the day progressed, however this didn’t dampen the spirits of the participants, with the majority of teams managing 15 holes before the rain stopped play. Congratulations and thanks to Tom Jennings from TJM Projects for championing the event.
After a day of healthy competition, we rounded the day off with dinner and drinks at The Mere Suite, followed by a silent auction, featuring some incredible prizes, donated by many of our business partners, friends and colleagues. Some standout prizes included a range of signed and framed football shirts and a golf lesson at St Andrews with a PGA Golfer. We raised an outstanding total of £15,725 all of which has been donated to two dedicated cancer charities.
David Sumner, Sales Director of Advantage said: “Despite the rain, there was a great turnout and morale was high. We were thrilled with the funds raised in aid of two important charities. Thanks to everyone for their continued support and hopefully see you next year, with a bit more sunshine – we’re looking forward to it already”.
Thanks to all of those who were in attendance for helping us raise the money, with a special thanks to Opus Events, Caro Developments, PBC Today, Essential Studio and the rest of our business partners for their very generous auction donations.
